My Pitch
To decide what to base my film on, I have developed two pitches. My proposal for my first film's genre will be horror. I have an old Halloween costume that includes a mask worn by a ghoul to hide his identity. I will not use the same concept for my film, but I will use the mask to give off an eerie feeling. If something goes wrong, I will wear an old killer clown Halloween costume. I will only show the face and not the full costume. I will have clothes over the original costume outfit. My sister has her license so she can take me to a park at night time to give the film a setting. I will be the attacker or pursuer, and I will be after my sister who will be in the film. I am very interested in making this film because I enjoy watching horror games, and YouTubers playing them. On the other hand, horror really scares me, but despite this, the genre has always interested me. My second film will be drama. This film would also feature my sister. I want to make it a sister feud and make the smallest situations into the most dramatic arguments. I want to include unexpected scenes and actions that will be surprising to the viewers. I am interested in this kind of film because my and my sister do not argue for the most part. My sister is known to be a dramatic person, and she is also into theatre. I believe her acting and creativity can help to make this film thrive more. She is someone I am very comfortable with, and we know how to joke around with one another (we are considerate of each other's feelings). This will help our acting and dramatic moments to be more realistic because we are siblings, and we know how most siblings arguments are carried out. I like the horror film idea more than the drama film. I feel that it would be better and more creative. The horror genre has aspects and characteristics of other genres as well. It includes action, adventure, and drama as well. Suspense and jump scares are dramatic which are included in horror films. This goes to show that you can do so much more with the horror genre, and there is much more room for creativity. I will focus more on the horror, terror, spooky costumes and props rather than the add ons like extra drama.
