Editing My Ninja Foodi Cooker
The editing process was a little more difficult for me. I used iMovie off of my iPhone to edit the commercial. My commercial was more like a cooking episode so I had to tweak it. I ended up trimming a lot of video material. I also added transitions and music to some scenes where there wasn’t any dialogue. I am comfortable with the iMovie editing app, so I didn’t feel the need to use any others. The less important clips like cooking the food, and describing the ingredients were cast out of the commercial. I kept it to mainly the functions of the Ninja Foodi Cooked, and less on the supporting details. I ended up having to get rid of some of the taste testing footage. I just showed what the food was rated out of 10. This scene took up some unnecessary space, but the opinions were very helpful. I sped some clips up as well. While trying to speak louder, I realized I wasn’t speaking fast enough. I wasn’t really aware of how long the commercial had to be, so I had more scenes to adjust. I made it so there wasn’t much dialogue, and included close up camera movements. I tried my best to include an equal amount of cooking and cleaning. The cleaning process of the Ninja Foodi Cooker, seemed somewhat unnecessary so I contemplated on including it or not. I feel that showing how easily the cooker gets cleaned is less important then how smoothly and effective it works. So I decided to do a time lapse of me cleaning the Ninja Foodi Cooker. The hardest part for me was probably choosing how to end the commercial. I chose to make it kind of like a telemarketing advertisement. I attempted to end it off with a simple picture of the Ninja Foodi Cooker along with the meal I made. I was speaking and basically saying to order a Ninja Foodi Cooker for yourself and enjoy it like me and my family do.
